REDSCOPE meets Ambassador Stella Ronner-Grubačić

Last week, our CEO Claudia de Castro Caldeirinha, had the pleasure to meet Stella Ronner-Grubačić, Ambassador for Gender and Diversity at the European External Action Service who was appointed nearly a year ago.

A courageous and determined Dutch Ambassador, who is now leading EEA’s efforts in advancing gender equality & promoting diversity and inclusion by using instruments such as the new EU Gender Action Plan III which aims to accelerate progress on empowering women and girls in all external action of the European Union.

Claudia de Castro Caldeirinha and Ambassador Ronner-Grubačić

Ambassador Ronner-Grubačić firmly stands by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and advocates that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. Her role at the EEAS is key in promoting these values and, specifically, advancing women’s and girls’ rights, which we have recently seen hindered by crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic or the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

At REDSCOPE, we know how hard this mission can be since we have been supporting the EU institutions for many years in their efforts to advance gender equality and effective inclusion. We know that we still have a long journey ahead of us if we want to achieve real gender equality in all fields, but we are confident that with determined women like Ambassador Ronner-Grubačić, we can make it.
