“The power of gender equality to transform the business of law” International Symposium

With the Law Society of England and Wales

Thursday 20 and Friday 21 June 2019

If you are in the UK and practice or are interested in Law, don’t miss the International Symposium which will mark the centenary of women being admitted to practice law in the UK, and will celebrate the successes of women in law since the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act of 1919.

The  two-days Symposium is designed to bring together professionals from across the legal profession and other sectors to identify steps needed to achieve gender equality in the workplace, crucial to boost growth, innovation and productivity. It will also mark the centenary of women being admitted to practice law in the UK and celebrate the successes of women in law globally.

REDSCOPE’s Director Claudia de Castro Caldeirinha is one of the speakers and will share her experience as a woman in leadership in an international ‘in conversation’ session with women leaders from multiple jurisdictions. This will contribute to take stock of the current position of women in the profession globally, put forward solutions for gender equality and offer practical skills for attendees to implement in their own organisations and jurisdictions.
